The KTM Race and Stunt Concepts were displayed in Italy last year, is it something similar in store for India?
It would take another 12 to 15 months for the first KTM bike to be launched in India. Bajaj and KTM are jointly working on developing a 125cc bike which will be built at Bajaj’s manufacturing plant at Chakan.
However the bike will first be rolled out in Europe where it will be exported from India by the year end and around mid of next year the bike will be launched in the Indian market. Bajaj will be selling the KTM products in India and neighbouring countries and some other parts of the globe as well.
KTM has already displayed two of its 125cc models at the EICMA Show in Milan, Italy last year. These two were 125cc models and were called the Stunt and Race concepts respectively.It was expected that these bikes will make it to the 2010 Auto Expo in Delhi but instead some bigger bikes from KTM were at display at Bajaj’s stall.
So lets see what the final product comes out to be from the Bajaj-KTM tie up.
