Be ready for the TVS Apache 220cc

Apache RTR 180Apache is ready to join the 220cc league of motorcycles in the country

Finally a 220cc Apache from TVS will soon be a reality. Yes, the company is planning to launch the 220cc version of their Apache soon.

The designing of the new 220cc Apache will be based on the Apache RTR 180 which was launched last year. However, the new version would be modified in such a way so as to give it the looks of a big bike and is expected to be more muscular and sportier than before.

The bike would compete with bikes like Hero Honda Karizma ZMR and the Bajaj Pulsar 220 and with the engine powerful enough to develop 22bhp of power, it is surely going to give its riders the adrenaline rush of their life.

For all those people who doesn’t care for the mileage and the raw power is what they want from their machine then this bike is ideal for them. The bike is expected to have a top speed of 150kmph which is the highest for any existing bike from this segment in India.

The bike is expected to be launched somewhere around April this year and the price is expected to be around Rs. 95,000. Well, if TVS provides features like ABS and RLP which stands for Rear Wheel lift-off Protection(which it displayed in Apache RTR 180 at the 2010 auto expo) in this 220cc model then this would be the first bike with such technologies in India and will make it a fully loaded package.

We hope that TVS provides this 220cc with an eye catching looks which makes it different from the already launched Apaches.

On the other note I’m once again compelled to ask the Yamaha people my same old question- When are you giving us your 200cc plus bike?

    Hi,

Am big fan of TVS – But Disappointed

am really very disappointed by hearing this news this year also there is no 200cc + bike from tvs. I have waited nearly 1+ yr for this bike. HMI, HH and Bajaj they stand on their commitment.

I think tvs dont have funds to introduce 200cc+ bike. This year too they r coming with same old bikes with little upgrade.

This year honda 250cc and yamaha 250cc bks r coming to market. But tvs is lanunching apache 160 (velocity) and apache 180 with ABS.

Mahindra is launching 300cc bike they y cant tvs. Since 2yrs am hearing the news that tvs launcing 200cc+ bike nothing materlize i think in future also it wont
