Bajaj India which is currently evaluating their KTM range for an Indian debut, will most likely start with the 125cc Avatar motorcycle in the first quarter of next year. These bikes could be locally manufactured to keep costs under control. The bikes could be priced at around 1 lakh rupees.

KTM and Bajaj have been working for the last few months on the 125cc Avatar and will manufacture it in Chakan, Pune for international markets apart from India. All along we've thought there would only be a 125cc bike for the Avatar.

But now Motoroids reports that there could be more powerful engines accompanying the 125 at a later date. Even the 125cc engine on the international spec model will 15PS of power which will be less than the India-spec bike that will make close to 20PS.

The engines used on the KTM range could eventually funnel down into the next generation Pulsar.

We can clearly see that Bajaj is again planning in big for the Indian market and are quite hungry to regain every bit of the market share belonging to the TVS, Honda and Yamaha.

They have done it through an online game called "Pulsar Mania" on zapak.com.

If you have any interest in motorbikes (specially Bajaj) and you happen to have some time to spare then you can try out this game.

The objective is to perform some tasks through stunts like wheelies, stoppies and donuts and gain as many points you can inside the stipulated time limit.

During the first round you are given a Pulsar 135LS where you have an option to choose the color of the bike between red and black. I am not sure about the later stages as I was not able to clear the first round myself :) It's not like you breeze through the rounds and win Pulsars online. It really needs skill and practice as I found out.

Overall the Pulsar Mania game is great weapon to kill time and pull-off some daring stunts on your Pulsar motorcycle which you're too afraid to do in real life. The graphics are decent for an online game and the background music keeps you pumped up while you are puling off stunts and impressing yourself.

If you have a slow internet connection then you'd only end up in despair as the game demands heavy plug-ins to be installed on your computer.

Bajaj Auto is recalling their newly launched bike - the Pulsar 135 LS in the Indonesian market. The Pulsar 135 LS was launched in April this year & Bajaj has sold over 5000 units of it already in Indonesia. Recently a few customers reported of complaints with the electrical circuit that repeatedly alarms about a discharged battery.

There is also some fault with the dead electric start motor. About 50 faulty bikes have been reported. Bajaj has acted promptly and starting next month they will be fixing this issue. The company says that all these bikes are within the warranty period & they will be repaired free of cost.

Bajaj is analyzing the problem & has taken full responsibility of this situation and this will help in gaining or maintaining confidence.

Rizal Tandju , Assistant Marketing and Public Relation Manager of PT Bajaj Auto Indonesia

We will empower all our dealer network across Indonesia to get the bikes fixed. All repairs are free because it’s still under warranty.

According to Business Standard, Rajiv Bajaj, managing director of Bajaj Auto limited, said in a recent interaction with the media that the company will launch an all-new Pulsar next year in India.

The new Pulsar will have "a completely new look, advanced engine and advanced technology."

Bajaj has shown a couple of modified Pulsars, created by modification house Phoenix at the Jakarta Auto fair last month (click here for full details). The company could revive the 150 and 180cc Pulsars or could put a completely new Pulsar with higher displacement on the market.

Bajaj, during the launch of the Pulsar 135LS late last year, said it was working on higher displacement Pulsars displacing up to 400cc. We're expecting to see a 350cc Pulsar with liquid cooling, mono-shocks, futuristic styling, dual discs, and four-valve engine.

Not sure if this is China or a South East Asian country, but Bajaj sure knows how to make ads that are innovative and interesting. A group of Pulsar 135LS riders pass through a crowded market place selling utensils and with the help of a bamboo stick and variation in the vehicle's speed, create music.

Bajaj Auto has upped the ante of its lone cruiser offering in the Indian two-wheeler market, the Avenger, by bolting on a de-tuned version of the Pulsar 220's DTS-i engine. The 220 cc Avenger produces 2.01 PS of power and 1.62 Nm of torque less than its similar engined sporty sibling.

The Avenger 220 succeeds the Avenger 200 and offers extras such as more power, torque and features. The new engine enables the bike to pump out 19.03 PS of max power and 17.5 Nm of max torque. Bajaj has priced the Avenger 220 competitively at Rs. 69,930 (Ex-Showroom Delhi) and the bike is available in a choice of four colour options.
