For the prudent yet enthusiastic motorcyclist, the quarter liter class seems the one to look for. With major players like the Ninja and CBR 250R already on the charts, it is imperative for others to hop on to the 250 cc bandwagon. The launch of the ST7 and GT650R was a landmark move by Hyosung India and Garware Motors. Both bikes were positioned in the niche segment and it felt they was more of an image-making (or remaking?) ploy by the Korean company.
The fate of these motorcycles depend on how well Hyosung markets them as you can buy a Harley for cheaper than a ST7. Kawasaki bought in the Ninja 650R at a marginally lesser [...]

Garware Motors along with S&T Motors announced the launch of two super bikes -GT650R (Sports bike) and ST 7 (Cruiser bike) in Mumbai today afternoon. Gracing the occasion was Bollywood heartthrob Arjun Rampal who will be the company’s first customer, riding away a brand new ST 7. BIKE India is reporting that Korean two-wheeler manufacturer Hyosung could be bought by either Mahindra&Mahindra or Hero Motors. Though the 250cc segment is under some strong invasion from the Japanese manufacturers and the other manufacturers alike, the 600cc segment is completely untapped in India. The homologation problems and the economic infeasibility of a 600 have been the primary factors for the manufacturers to overlook this segment.

The biggest news that is currently going on in the Indian biking fraternity is the launch of GT650R sports bike and ST7 cruiser from Hyosung. But far from all this power hungry malarkey, the parent company of Hyosung S&T motors, has launched first tree-hugging electric scooters in Korea.

The Korean bike manufacturer is back and this time it means business. As already reported by IMB before, Hyosung is coming back with more powerful bikes to choose from in its second stint.

The Korean bike manufacturer Hyosung is planning to make a comeback in the Indian market. As per motoroids, the company is planning to re-enter the Indian market with their two 650cc models- the GT650R sports bike and the ST7 cruiser.
