Will we have electric motorcycles like the one shown above in India?
The maker of the electric two-wheelers YObykes, Electrotherm India Ltd (EIL) could be the first company in India to launch an electric motorcycle.
As per the resources the project is still in its initial phase and a lot of work still needs to be done. The technology required to develop the electric bike is already there with the company.The company is working on the chassis design of the bike and also upgrading the batteries to meet the power requirements of the motorcycle.
The bike will be manufactured at the company’s Kutch plant which has a capacity of manufacturing 2,88,000 annually.
However as per the resources the bike will not make it to the market within this year as lot of work has to be done in this project.
