Honda’s Indian motorcycle division is keeping all its options open. It launched the Honda CB Twister, a 110cc motorcycle to take Hero Honda’s Passion head-on this year. It launched a sportier version of the 150cc Unicorn called CB Unicorn Dazzler, and last week, it put the 17.5 lakh rupee VFR1200F on Indian roads.
After all the sporty launches, the last thing you would expect Honda to talk about is a 100cc economy Honda motorcycle under the CB Twister. And that’s what they exactly did!

Yes we may need to go there in the future. We are going to enter into the mass segment. However, there is nothing concrete on this at this moment
Aoyama says Honda’s mass market motorcycle should be priced lower than the CB Twister. This only means that the new 100cc bike will not have the same level of features or styling as the Twister. It could be aimed at the rural regions of India and the focus could be on maximizing fuel economy and payload. It could be a stripped down version of the Twister with less expensive body detailing.
Could we see Honda bring out a mass-market model with modest styling and equipment for 30-35k rupees? Hero Honda, have you heard about this development?
