We having been keeping a close eye on the developments around a 250cc from Honda over a past few months. Honda is planning to launch a 250cc bike in Thailand on 30th of this month and there are chances that a similar bike will be launched in India as well. We have already reported that Honda is testing a 250cc for the Indian market codenamed KYZ.

Could the Honda CBR 250R head to India in March 2011?

Word has it that the 250cc from Honda will have the engine of VTR250. So in other terms this could be a VTR 250 with full fairing or will it still be a CBR250R? Well we would have to wait for a few more days when this bike is unveiled in Thailand.

I had a word with one of the Honda reps at the recently concluded Auto show near my city and as per him a 250cc is in the pipeline for sure but it would take a few months time for a local launch. Well, we never know if Honda surprises everyone with some kind of announcement during the Diwali time.

This pint size Honda CBR 250R can certainly pack a punch

With Kawasaki Ninja 250R the only 250cc bike in India (remember the Mahindra Mojo comes only next year), Honda should exploit this segment with specifications similar to the Ninja 250R itself, especially power and torque.
