Indian-made Yamaha motorcycles, the FZ-S and YZF-R15 have started selling in a showroom in Saigon, Vietnam. Yamaha has begun exporting these bikes manufactured at Yamaha’s Faridabad plant in Haryana. This move is a sign of Yamaha’s healthy operations in India.
India Yamaha Motor has recorded an impressive 17% growth in its monthly sales. The company sold 25,033 bikes in India and abroad in the month of May, 2010. Of that 17,614 units has been sold in India and the rest in all foreign markets like Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal and Sri Lanka. The company also recorded a healthy YoY sales growth of 4% for the month of May.
