Demak DMR 150Demak bikes have to be different from the rest to capture market

By the end of this year another two-wheeler manufacturer is planning to enter the Indian market. The Malaysian firm Demak Motorcycles is thinking of launching their range of motorcycles and scooters in the country.

The company currently operates in Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. Demak as of now is looking for some partners, distributors or dealers in India depending on which they will launch their range of products by the year end.

Demak has two manufacturing units in Malaysia and is now planning to set up another manufacturing unit in Sri Lanka. Besides these countriesĀ it also has a manufacturing unit in Philippines and Indonesia. However there are no plans to setup for setting up a plant in India for the moment.
The company has motorcycles ranging from 125cc to 250cc and scooters and mopeds are also present in their global lineup.

The company would have to bring in some exciting products if they want to have a firm grip in the Indian two-wheeler market where giants like Hero Honda, Bajaj, Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki are already present and other local manufacturers like Mahindra and Vibgyor already planning to launch their range of motorcycles.
