The Duke 690 could be the entry point in KTM range in India
Bajaj displayed their range of motorcycles and 3-wheelers at this year’s Auto Expo. Although there were no new launches from Bajaj but there was a slight hint of what Bajaj may be planning to do in the upcoming months.
On display were the two KTM bikes, the Duke 690 and the Super Duke. Speaking to the Bajaj representatives I was told that the KTM Super Duke is a serious contender for the local market. No concrete details are available about when this will happen, but this is in the pipeline and if things work out, we can expect the 690 in the following months.
Bajaj is also planning to launch the naked version of P220 within a few weeks, probably by the end of this month. The naked version will have the fairing similar to that of P200 and will be lighter in weight thereby improving the bike’s performance. The naked version will cost around 69k ex-showroom.
