hi,nice article.
i was following the break in period of my bike(yamaha sz r) properly when my friend asked for a test drive at 100 km.i gave him and asked him to keep below 4000 rpm.but the next day he informed me that he reached the redline and achieved 110km per hour.i was totally disturbed and pained in hearing the news.what are the consequences i would face??or should i not be concerned with this one time issue???

Nazish,

Let me thank you for talking of the break in period with remarkable clarity. Indeed, it was after a lot of terrible garbage that I found your article. Great article. It informs a lot but I wish to have a few doubts cleared.

I own A thunderbird twinspark (1000 kms). I followed the run-in period instructions for the first 500 kms (the first service) as the manual mentioned. After that, my service centre incharge said that I can take it for a spin at any speed I want. I have gone till 80 odd kmph but it doesn't seem to climb well beyond that. What do you advice?
