The Scooty Streak hybrid has no space for luggage but provides high fuel economy
TVS motor is all set to launch the first of its kind vehicle in India. This would be the country’s first Hybrid Scooter known as TVS Scooty Streak Hybrid.
This 90cc scooter will be launched by the year end and would consist of a four stroke engine along with a electric-hub motor. The good thing about this scooter is that it has the capability to be operated in both engine and electric modes.
The scooter will have four available ride options like electric only, for zero fuel consumption; engine only, which is useful if you run low on battery; hybrid power mode wherein both electric motor and the engine works together for better acceleration and the hybrid electric mode in which both the motor and the engine works in a pre-programed manner.
The Scooty Streak hybrid will have a lead acid battery capable of providing the scooter a 30km run per charge of the battery. The scooter weighs 115 Kg. The scooter however lags behind when it comes to the storage space which has been completely eliminated from the scooter architecture.
More and more electric scooters are coming in the market these days and launches like the Streak Hybrid should provide a boost to the electric two wheeler market in our country.
