TVS Motor Company has registered an overall growth of 36 % in its two-wheeler sales for the month of June 2010. The company had a sale of 1,56,685 two-wheelers as compared to 1,15,448 units in June last year.
The company has recorded a 33 % increase in domestic two-wheeler sales as compared to June 2009 with a figure of 1,39,905 units. The company had a 44 % and 42 % growth in motorcycle and scooter sales with sales figures of 66,452 units and 36,742 units respectively.
The company also had a 66 % growth in exports in June with a figure of 16,780 units as compared to 10,087 units in June 2009. The cumulative sales of the company in the April-June quarter witnessed a growth of 31 % with a sales figure of 4,56,041 units.
TVS Motor company after having achieved growth in sales across all segments of the two-wheeler market in which it operates in the month of June, is now gearing up to unleash a new product into the Indian two-wheeler space this month.
This model is expected to be launched in the volume 100 cc segment of the Indian two-wheeler market and should definitely help in further boosting TVS”s monthly sales figures.
