Two more commuter bikes from Bajaj

Bajaj Discover 135

It seems that the year 2010 will see more of commuter bikes

It seems that the year 2010 is going to see more of commuter bikes than the bikes from the premium segment. Yamaha has already given out a few indications regarding their interest in launching a few commuter bikes and now Bajaj is planning to launch two new bikes from the same segment.

These two motorcycles will be launched either under the Discover or the Platina brand with in the next four months as confirmed by a senior official at the company.

S. Sridhar, chief executive of Bajaj Auto’s two-wheeler business said:

The commuter segment is doing well. We need more models from this segment

However he didn’t give out any details regarding the cost or the technical details about these new launches. The company wants to further strengthen their position in the commuter segment and these two products would be a step towards that.

Its good to see a lot of bikes coming in the year 2010 from most of the bike manufacturers but we would also like to see some powerful bikes hitting the market as well.
