Video – Yamaha R1 motocross in action

Would you dare to convert your Yamaha R1 into an off-road motocross tool? If you would, then here’s a video that shows what the outcome will look like.

The stock Yamaha R1′s wheels and tyres have been thrown out of the window and in their place have been fitted special off-road tyres with suitable wheels. The bike still retains the potent 1-litre 150 bhp motor, which means it still has the ability to deliver jaw dropping performance.

I am really surprised by this move considering if i were to go off-roading on a bike, I’d just get myself a good motocross machine rather modify (Waste) a sportsbike like the R1 for it.

Also, with the mind-numbing performance that a machine like the R1 is capable of, i would not want to take it anywhere other than a racetrack or an open stretch of road with challenging curves, since the R1 would prove quite a handful to control and tame on a motocross circuit.
