Yamaha conducts safe riding program in Chennai

The Japanese bike maker Yamaha organized its 1st session of ‘Safe Riding Science 2010,’ in Chennai to promote safety in 2-wheelers among the younger riders.

Yamaha introduced Yamaha Safe Riding Science (YSRS) initiative to the Chennai youth and it was attended by not less than 100 college students belonging to SRM University.

The program lasted for one day and split into two. The first half was classroom activity and the second was practical where slow balancing, slalom and braking were taught to the students.

The program was conducted to teach riders how to ride their motorcycles safely. The program inculcates the practice of following road signs and safety.

Yamaha has also created short film of 20 minutes duration explaining scientifically impact force, inertia force and frictional force from a road traffic viewpoint.
