YBR 110 is the answer to the entry level segment from Yamaha to Bajaj and HH
In order to further strengthen themselves at the entry level segment Yamaha India have launched their 110cc bike called the YBR 110.
This bike along with the Yamaha SZ was displayed at the Auto Expo in January as the concept models. However there were indications that they will come up in the market soon.
More than the YBR 110 everyone speculated that the Yamaha SZ will come into the market first but it was for the YBR 110 to show its presence.
After getting the success in the 150cc segment through their YZF R15 and FZ series Yamaha wanted to launch a new model in the entry level segment which has not been doing pretty well after the poor response to the Alba and Crux.
The YBR comes up with 4 stroke air cooled SOHC engine designed for low end torque for everyday city riding conditions. The bike has a 4 speed gear box with gear ratios in such a manner so as to provide less gear shifts in the heavy traffic conditions. The graphics and the grab rail adds to the sportiness of the bike.
The YBR will cost around Rs. 41,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) and will be available in three colors of Red, Black and the third one will be the combination of the two colors.
In case you are interested in this bike then you would have to wait for some time as this bike has not hit the showrooms yet. While enquiring about the same with one of the dealerships i was told that it will take some time before this bike comes to the showroom due to some pending approvals.
