Yamaha S2 will be launched in India with a 150cc engine next month
Yamaha is planning to add another motorcycle to their Indian line up by the end of next month. This model called the S2 has already been displayed at the 2010 Auto Expo and went pretty much unnoticed.
This bike will have a 150cc engine derived from the FZ series. The bike is targeted at the commuter section and being a 150cc bike it can be considered as a powerful commuter providing the customers a blend of power and mileage.
Unlike the other 150cc from Yamaha, this one will not have mono-cross suspension and will sport the traditional twin-shock absorbers and no disc brakes.
This bike will fall in the categories of the other 150cc commuter bike like Honda Unicorn and considering. It is expected to be priced around 60k rupees.
More details are expected to come out in the next few days about this motorcycle. This seems to be an interesting move from Yamaha which will be giving the customers a commuter bike, yet powerful enough and will make the commuter section a bit more exciting.
